It's an increase of more than 100,000 over 2011 readers made 2012 a very good year for the newspaper website.
The leading news source for western Kern County passed a milestone earlier this month, going over the 2 million pageview mark earlier this month.
Through December 26, had 2,070,920 pageviews, up more than 100,000 pageviews from  all of 2011 when it drew a total of 1,898,738 pageviews.
People keep coming to the newspaper's two Facebook pages, too.
The newspaper has 3,446 friends and 1,098 likes on its pages.
“We're very gratified that we have so many people that turn to,” Editor Doug Keeler said. “It shows that people want a good news product that covers their hometown. We put a lot of work into our online products and its very nice to see the kind of support we get from our readers.”
