Sixth Street was reopened to traffic Friday afternoon after a crane was used to lift a roll-off dumpster full of construction was that fell off a truck on Sixth Street at Emmons Park Drive.
The accident occurred about noon.
A truck was turning left off Emmons to northbound Sixth when the dumpster's load caused it to fall from the truck.
Workers said a large amount of concrete had apparently bee placed on one side of the dumpster.
A larger crane was called to the scene to lift it after its contents had been transferred to another roll-off dump.
The crane righted the dumpster, then lifted it and a flatbed truck backed under it to remove it.
Sixth was blocked for about two hours and was reopened about 2 p.m., just in time for parents to pick up their kids from school.
