  • Motorcyclists to show support for victim and heroes of TUHS shooting

  • Local riders are asking Kern County’s motorcycle community to join in a ride that will show support for the victims affected and to honor the heroes that saved many lives that  during the shooting at Taft Union High School on Jan.
    It's called “The Wildcat Run.”
    The ride will be on Jan.26.
    It all starts  at 10:05 a.m. at Chilled and Grilled
    Cost is $20 per bike and $5 per passenger.
    All the money raised will go towards assisting those directly involved with the tragedy.
    Here's the schedule of events:
    Signups: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Chilled and Grilled, 621 Center Street.
    Kick stands up follows at 10:05 a.m.
     Here is the route:
    •Taft Union High School – Prayer, photo and send off – (15 min)
    • KMC – Kern Medical Center – Deliver Care Package to the Cleveland family. (15-30 min)
    •Ethels – (45min – 1hr)
    • Trouts – (45min – 1hr)
    •BV Inn – (15-30 min)
    •Chilled and Grilled – (50/50 Drawing)
    Total: 100 Miles
    In order to increase the amount donated to help those affected by the tragedy, food and drinks will be the responsibility of the rider and/or passenger. Chilled and Grilled, Ethels, Trouts, and BV Inn all sell food.
