  • Thursday marks the one year anniversary of the death of Trinity Monique Hanna.
The three year-old Taft girl was the victim of child abuse, allegedly at the hands of her mother and her mother's boyfriend.
The little girl was pronounced dead in the emergency room at San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield.
She had been driven there by her mother after suffering a serious head injury earlier in the day.
Trinity's mother, Angela Monique Hanna, 31, has already pleaded no contest to willful cruelty to a child and is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 30.
She faces no more than 10 years in prison, which includes jail time since her arrest on May 5, 2012
But her sentencing is contingent on testifying against Trinity's accused murderer, Eric Foster.
Foster, 27, was Angela Hannas live-in boyfriend at the time the girl suffered her fatal injuries, and he is facing the possibility of the death penalty if he is convicted of first degree murder, child abuse and torture charges
His preliminary hearing was supposed to be held on Thursday but it was delayed until Feb. 27.
Foster is being held without bail.
    Hanna's bail is $2,020,000.
