  • A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. for longtime Taft resident, Louise Doyle, 93.  Rev. Tom White, pastor of Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate at the service.  Mrs. Doyle was born in Oregon, Missouri on June 16, 1919 and peacefully passed away in Palmdale on January 28, 2013.  She worked for Remington Arms during WW II and met and married Matthew Doyle.  They were together for 68 years.  She was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the 80 and 40 organization, Le Petit Chapeau of Kern County Salon #242.  She was also very active in the Girls State program through the Auxiliary and held many offices.  Mrs. Doyle is survived by her husband, Matthew Doyle; two daughters, Juanita Willis of Ridgecrest and Carol Cox of Bakersfield; grandson, Eliott Willis of New York; granddaughter, Gwynn Hartkopf; great-granddaughter, Heidi Hartkopf of Ridgecrest; and her sister, Frances Doyle of Taft.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.  To sign an online registry please visit www.EricksonAndBrown.com.
