Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. for longtime Taft resident, Maxine Carol Putnam, 68.   Rev. Tom White, pastor of Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate and burial will follow in West Side District Cemetery.  Mrs. Putnam was born in Kellyville, Oklahoma on November 2, 1944 and passed away in Bakersfield on February 1, 2013.  She was raised and educated in Taft.  Mrs. Putnam loved the Lord and her family and she lived every day for them.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Claude Gee, Sr.; her brother, Claude Gee, Jr.; her sister, Claudia Kelly; her children, Lonnie and Connie Putnam; and her niece, Deanna Doyle.  Mrs. Putnam is survived by her husband, Steve Putnam; her children, Mike Putnam and his wife, LeAnn, and Charlene Mason and her husband, Mark all of Taft; her grandchildren, Michelle Ayala and her husband, Ralph of Atascadero, Austin, Gena, and Wyatt Putnam all of Taft and William Mason;  her step-grandchildren, Mark Mason and Christopher Mason; her great grandchildren, Kaylee and Ralph, Jr. Ayala; her step great-grandchildren, Landon Mason, Heaven and Haven Mason, Emily and Elizabeth Mason, Haylie Mason and Kylee Mason; her brothers and their wives, Jerry and Mary Gee, Richard and Jane Gee and Jack and Susan Gee and by numerous nieces and nephews.  Her family would like to thank Guardian Home Care for making her last few days with us comfortable at home where she wanted to be.  Friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.  To convey condolences or sign an online registry, please visit www.EricksonAndBrown.com
