Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn was airlifted from a race course after crashing and suffering a "complex knee injury," CNN reports. Vonn was competing in the opening day of the Alpine Ski World Championships in Austria.
The doctor treating Vonn said the skier had a "complex torn ligament" in her right knee but would not need immediate surgery. U.S. team officials are deciding whether Vonn should return to the U.S. or remain in Europe for treatment.
Jennifer Hudson makes her debut as the newest cast member of "Smash" tonight in the two-episode season premiere. The cast of faux-musical "Bombshell" returns in the first episode as the show looks for a new home and struggles with financing. The two leading ladies still don't like each other. With any luck, the show's retooling will become more obvious after these episodes air. NBC 9 p.m. EST.
