A cold wind and low clouds moved into the Westside Thursday, signaling the arrival of a very cold weather system that will bring a chance of showers later Thursday and into Friday and a chance of early morning frost for the weekend.
The 70-degree weather we saw earlier in the week is gone, at least for the time being, and the high Friday might not even reach 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Saturday and Sunday, morning lows might be below freezing, turning the morning dew into frost.
There's even a slight chance of a thunderstorm on Friday.
The rain chances start late Thursday night with a 40 percent chance of showers after 10 p.m.
On Friday, the chance of will be at 50 percent.
Only light rainfall is expected.
Friday's high is expected to stay in the upper 40s with a low Saturday morning of 35 and a low Sunday and Monday morning near 33.
Highs for the weekend are expected to stay in the mid 50s.
