Mindy McCready's two children were removed from her care yesterday and a judge sent the country singer to a mental health facility, where she will undergo psychiatric and alcohol-abuse evaluations, E! News reports.
McCready will spend up to 21 days in the facility.
The ruling came at an emergency hearing Wednesday, during which McCready admitted that she had been drinking too much in the wake of her boyfriend's death last month, according to E!.
David Wilson died on Jan. 13 from what McCready's publicist said was a self-inflicted gunshot wound; however, police have not officially reported the cause of death.
In an interview with NBC News last month, McCready denied any involvement in Wilson's death.
