In a blink of an eye, the Taft girls soccer team its season come to a sudden end in a 1-0 loss to the Foothill Trojans in the first round of the CIF-CS Division IV playoffs.
Taft had several chances to score early in the match but each time they came away empty handed.
Momentum shifted to the Lady Trojans side
Over a period of time, Foothill threatened to score but was unsuccessful. Then with under two minutes to go before halftime, a Foothill player launched a rainbow shot that just found the upper portion of the goal to give the Lady Trojans the lead.
Momentum shifted sides again early in the early stages of the second half with Taft's first chance coming a little more than a minute and a half in. Despite the chances Taft was unable to find the back of the net.
With the victory, Foothill advances to the quarterfinal round where they will face No.1 seed Caruthers.
