Mobile home fire leaves 3 homeless
Fire destroyed a home in South Taft Wednesday night, leaving three people homeless.
The fire was reported at 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Montview Avenue and Buena Vista Street.
Kern County firefighters found the double-wide mobile home 60 percent involved in fire when they arrived.
The building was a total loss, according to the KCFD.
A man, woman and 17-year-old boy lived in the home, Battalion Chief Greg Black said.
The cause is under investigation.
Engines from Taft, Maricopa, Fellows and McKittrick and a ladder truck from Taft were dispatched to the fire.
