Detectives seeking leads on several cases
Everything from tongs to generators to valve fittings has been reported stolen recently from area oilfields.
The Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit is investigating the following cases on the Westside.:
•Approximately 50 3-inch valve pipe fittings and other miscellaneous oil field equipment were reported stolen from a mobile office/seatrain located near Randall Rand and Broadway Road. •The following property was stolen from an oil lease located in the area of Mocal Road and Shale Road: One red rod tongs, serial #3412117, one black rod wheel, one black rod table, and two yellow rod dyes.
