We have lost a wonderful artist
We have lost a wonderful artist. The City may never see such a beautiful, hand painted signage and works again .Chris was born on October 7, 1958 in Taft at the West Side District Hospital and passed on March 3, 2013 at his home in Taft. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marjorie Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Diane (O'Leary) Williams; his daughter, Tiffany Dawn; his son, Aaron Christopher; his sisters, Sharon (Vaughn) Campbell of El Dorado, Gail (Troy) Kuykendall of Crescent City, Rebeca (Doug) Rued and Terri Reese all of Placerville. As well as his sister-in-law Debby (Lon) Babbitt of New Mexico, brother-in-law, Devon (Tammi) Heckmann of Taft; his father-in-law, Fred Heckmann of Azusa and his mother-in-law, DeLaine O'Leary (Les) Newton of Bothell, Washington; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Chris graduated from Maricopa schools, and always had an artful outlook on love and life. Chris always loved to entertain, from playing the drums, piano, to creating works of art, barbecuing and cracking jokes. He always had a story to tell of his many adventures, especially with family and special friends, Joe and Ofelia Fuller. Chris liked to tell about silly pranks he'd played in school, (riding his bike through the band room) and of the many places he had gone to play music during school and after he graduated. He was greatly loved and we will miss him always. A celebration of life will be held at Jo's Restaurant, 510 Kern Street, Taft on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
