Burlin Ray Griffith, formally of Taft, went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ and his son, Kevin Griffith on March 7, 2013. He was born in Campbell, Missouri on April 9, 1934. Mr. Griffith grew up in Tupman and later became a longtime resident of Taft. He had been employed as a farm hand and later became the owner and operator of a heavy equipment company, known as B.R. Griffith Backhoe Service. Survivors include his son, Ricky Woods of Arkansas; his daughter, Pamela Hennessy of Pismo Beach; his brother, Donald Griffith; his sisters, Viola Brannum and Pauline Arnold all of Dinuba; his seven grandchildren, LaChelle Calvillo, Stepanie Hennessey-Martin, Kimberly Hennessey, Matthew Griffith, Stacy Plunkett, Jerry Woods and Shane Woods; his seven great grandchildren, Adam, Aiden and Delon Calvillo, Zachary Dakota, and Austin and Levi Woods, many nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom have loved him and all miss him. A visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Westside Believers Fellowship, 101 Highway 33, Taft and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. also at Westside Believers Fellowship. Burial will be in the West Side District Cemetery. The services are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
