Charles Edward Farmer, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, age 90, of Taft California, went to be reunited with his wife Hazel in heaven on March 6, 2013.
He was born March 14, 1922. He married Hazel Flaustine Cheshier on November 25, 1943. They were married 68 years when she passed away November 28, 2011. They were both from Oklahoma but settled in California where they lived most of their lives.
Edward served in the army from December 16, 1943 to October 20, 1945. He worked in the oilfields for years. He was an avid gardener and loved to travel. Hazel enjoyed taking care of her family, bowling, fishing, and working with the mentally challenged. Edward and Hazel attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Taft for many years.
Edward and Hazel are survived by their children, Dolores Bryant, Patricia Pierce, Charles Farmer Jr. and his wife Gloria, five grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren as well as Edward’s sisters, his brother and several nieces and nephews.
Edward and Hazel will be buried together in the Yarnaby Cemetery in Yuba Oklahoma.
