Supervisors OK Ford City demolitions

The Kern County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted to start the demolition of two apartment building and two single-family homes in Ford City unless the property owners bring the buildings up to code within the next 30 days.

The structures targeted are a two-story apartment at 424 Adams St in an area called "The Village," and abandoned two-story apartment about a block to the west on the 300 block of Madison and two single family homes on Madison Street.
