Career Service Center sponsoring event to connect job seekers with employers
Taft’s unemployment rate is 13.9%, and the The Kern County Department of Human Services is going to offer some help.
So the Taft JobFest will be held here on April 3. at the Taft Veterans Memorial Building, 218 Taylor Street 9 a.m. until noon.
It's a chance for people looking for jobs to connect with firms that are hiring.
Job seekers should come to JobFest dressed for success with at least 20 copies of their resume or master application.
Employers with current job openings are invited to participate at no cost. Contact Shanda Evett at (661) 633-7036 to receive an Employer Participation Commitment Form for your local job fair.
Job leads and resume assistance is available everyday to the public in all DHS locations. Visit KCDHS.org for more information.
The Taft JobFest is one of a series of similar events being held around Kern County.
