One seriously hurt, two suffer minor injuries

Three men were injured, one seriously, when a jeep overturned on a dirt road in the fields west of Ford City Friday morning.

The accident took place about one-half mile west of the intersection of Cedar Street and North Lincoln Street just after 9 a.m.

Emergency crews transported at least two of the injured by ambulance.

Two of the victims escaped with minor injuries, but a passenger suffered moderate to major injuries, Kern County Sheriff's Sr. Deputy Kevin George said.

The Jeep ended up on its top in dirt road.

All three victims were out of the vehicle when emergency crews arrived.
