Joy Dell Fedewa, 82, passed away on March 30, 2013. She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on
November 7, 1930, to the late Leonard Crabtree and Ester Lee Green Crabtree. Joy was married to Leo
Fedewa on December 1, 1946 and together they owned and operated Paul's Bicycle Shop in Taft for
30 years. There they worked side by side and enjoyed each other's company and many local customers
who supported them. Joy enjoyed gardening, taking long walks, being involved with YLI Group, and
spending time with her grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ester
Crabtree; her brother, LT Crabtree; and her daughter, Joann Manual. She is survived by her loving
husband, Leo Fedewa, Jr. of 67 years; sisters, Mollie Poff and Jo Mankin; her children and spouses,
Margie and Greg Cheli of Los Alto, Leo Fedewa III of San Luis Obispo, Paul and Pam Fedewa of Taft,
Mary Fedewa and Harold Workman of Taft, and Peggy and Brian Peters of Taft. She is also survived
by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joy will be loved and
dearly missed by her family and friends. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on
Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. The family has requested no viewing.
