Is it Wednesday yet? WOW! That was quite a day yesterday! Yesterday “Lost in Suburbia: A Momoir” hit the shelves and apparently it is being enjoyed by people and dogs alike (the dog in question would be mine who actually chewed up the first copy I got from my publisher. To hear about that straight from the Monty’s mouth, check out this blog post on Barb Best’s site!)
Last night we had an unbelievable TWITTER PARTY. For those of you who stopped by, thank you! It was a riot. The hashtag #Lostinsuburbia was the second highest trending hashtag for the hour and we had 18 MILLION IMPRESSIONS! Big thanks to Holly Rosen Fink of Culture Mom Media for being our Twitter wrangler and keeping the Internet from blowing up with our crazy mom tweets!
In addition to great conversation, we gave away some fabulous gifts from our book tour sponsors!
Living Fresh Collection gave away a Queen or King Sheet set basket which includes 2 pillow cases, flat & fitted LFC sheets, as well as an Eucalyptus candle, soap and lotion (valued at $200).
From our friends at Office Candy, one winner received a super cute Wall Pops – Vinyl Applique Weekly Calendar (valued at $15).
Theraderm Clinical Skin Care donated their signature Skin Renewal System with Peptide Hydrator (a $150 value).
And SpaFinder gave away a $150 SpaFinder Wellness Gift Card that can be used at over 20,000 spas, yoga, Pilates or fitness studios and more around the world!
We also gave away a number of copies of my new book, “Lost in Suburbia: A Momoir” and TWO lucky moms won a pink fuzzy DUCKY BATHROBE from Aegean!
Today, there are three great bloggers reviewing the book on their blogs.
Elizabeth Parker doesn’t have kids but she says the book had her laugh out loud in places anyway. She has a review and giveaway on her blog, “Books I think You Should Read!”
My wonderful friend Desiree Miller has a glowing review on her site, Stress Free Baby! Desiree and I go way back. Not as far as the days when I delivered singing telegrams in a gorilla suit, fortunately for her, but far enough that she remembers me wanting to write this book!
Andrea Katz writes the fabulous blog Great Thoughts. She does a review over there today, as well. She is also under the impression that I am still going to be writing books when I am a grandmother, although I plan to be eating dinner at 4:30 and playing shuffleboard down in Florida by the time that happens!
ALSO HAPPENING TODAY..
I will be speaking and signing books tonight at the HAWORTH LIBRARY in Haworth NJ. Womrath’s bookstore is partnering and they will be on hand to sell my book. If you live in the area, please stop by and say hi. The address is 300 Haworth Ave and I’ll be there at 7:30pm.
Hope to see you there!
