Work on the Tenth Street reconstruction is going to get underway in earnest on Monday when Griffith Construction crews start removing the old road surface.
The construction got underway two weeks ago with the removal and replacement of some of the concrete along the roadway.
Monday the heavy equipment will go to work removing the old road surface between Ash Street and Tenths Street and putting down a new smooth roadway.
It is the same type of work done recently on Sixth Street and Harrison Street in Ford City,
Traffic will be limited to one lane and delays should be anticipated.
The resurfacing part of the project is scheduled by be completed on April 21 and will include a four-way stop sign at Tenth and San Emidio.
Crews finished the concrete work on the pedestrian ramps at Irene and San Emidio streets plus a crosswalk area just south of Ash Street.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed on April 26.
