Fire damaged another South Taft home late Tuesday afternoon.
However, unlike a series of suspicious fires that have burned vacant homes in the area, this fire hit an occupied home with utilities.
It was accidental in nature, Kern County Fire Battalion Chief Brent Moon said.
The fire broke out about 5:20 p.m. at 124 Rose Street and caused approximately $15,000 to $20,000 damage.
Moon said neighbors told firefighters it appeared that the residents were possibly moving out on Tuesday.
No one was home when the fire started.
