Taft College's ASB, in conjunction with the Best Buddies and Transition to Independent Living program,TC will conduct a clothing drive in the Taft College main parking lot from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2.
There is currently a shortage of available clothing for sale at the local Goodwill store.
Hard economic times have dictated the need for creative shopping on the part of many local families. Being able to purchase gently used clothing at the local Goodwill store is a definite benefit for them.
Taft College students urge people to consider cleaning out their closets and bureaus and convert clothing you no longer utilize or wear into working wardrobes for local families.
Goodwill will have a huge truck on site to help you identify the drop-off point for donations. Students and staff will be on duty beginning at 7 a.m. and remain on duty until 1 p.m.
