Cindy Churchill was born on July 24, 1944, in Yreka. She passed away on May 27, 2013, at her home in Yreka.
She was raised in a cabin with a dirt floor in Horse Creek. She lived in all the small communities along the Klamath River with her two children during her lifetime. She was a loving mother and was very proud of the accomplishments that both children have made in their lives. Cindy also loved her two Chihuahuas, Dottie and Daisy. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. She was very creative and spent a lot of her time crocheting doilies and afghans, embroidering and beading earrings.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Angela Baxter, her son-in-law Michael Baxter, her son Jesse Parry, her daughter-in-law, Katherine Finwall, and her two grandchildren, Isaiah and Kyler Parry, whom she adored. All of Cindy's children and grandchildren reside in Yreka. She will be greatly missed by many.
A memorial service for Cindy will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Karuk Tribal Community Room in Happy Camp with a reception immediately following.
