Margaret Hall-Silveira receives bachelor's degree

A local student graduated from Fresno Pacific University last month.

Margaret Hall-Silveira of Taft was among 555 graduates at the university's spring commencement, which took place on May 4 at the University Green at the main campus, in Fresno.

This was the largest graduating class in FPU history.

Hall-Silveira received a B.A. in business administration-management emphasis.

The ceremony for the 320 traditional undergraduates and graduate students including seminary graduates earning master's degrees was at 10 a.m., and the ceremony for the 235 bachelor's degree completion students was at 6 p.m.

TaDegree completion graduates studied at FPU regional centers in Bakersfield, Visalia, North Fresno and Merced.

The commencement address was by Stephen Varvis, Ph.D., FPU provost.
