RCIU busy investigating crimes on the Westside
Everything from breathing apparatus to copper wire and even a pickup was stolen in the latest round of crimes under investigation by the Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit.
Here's a quick rundown:
•Four Drager SCBA Units were stolen from an oil rig located near Highway 33 and Lost Hills Road. The SCBA Units are all silver and orange in color and have the following serial numbers: #DG341048, #DG341045, #DG342471 and #DG241292. •A control panel was stolen from a Wacker Generator located in a storage yard in the 29200 block of Highway 33. If you have any information regarding this investigation please contact Detective Dave Weigand at (661) 392-4369 or e-mail WeigandD@kernsheriff.com. Refer to case #SR13-15578.
•Approximately 150’ of #10 copper electrical wire and conduit was stolen from an electrical box located in the 100 block of Poso Street. Please contact Jackson.

•A white 2011 Chevrolet 1500 Sports Utility pickup, California License #65042C1, was stolen from the 200 block of Taylor Street.
The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the 600 block of Lucard Street. You are asked to contact Weigand if you have any information regarding this case.

•Four radiators and ten vehicle batteries were reported stolen from farming property located in the 14400 block of Highway 166.
