Live wires cut, equipment damaged
Several recent cases of vandalism in the Westside oilfields are under investigation by the Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Unit.
Here's the latest update:
•Unknown suspects cut three live electrical lines located on oilfield property on Midoil Road. If you have any information regarding this investigation please contact Detective Casey Brunsell at (661) 392-4370 or e-mail BrunsellC@kernsheriff.com. Refer to case #SR13-16452.
•A lock box located on oil field property near 3rd Street and Midoil Road was vandalized. Contact Detective Mark Jackson at (661) 392-4367 or e-mail Jacksonmar@kernsheriff.com if you have any information regarding this vandalism. Refer to case #SR13-16929.
•Unknown suspects vandalized a Knaack tool box, a tool box stabilizer, and a Dewalt security device located on an oil field lease in the area of A Street and Midoil Road.
