Linda Rose Brock was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 11, 1952 and went to be with our Lord on July 2, 2013 in Bakersfield. CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Ecklund; mother, Olivia Ecklund; brother, Robert Ecklund; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Brock. She is survived by her husband, Michael Brock; children, Charles Brock and his children, Laura, Sara, Christine and Rachel; Rachael and Leo Flaharty and their children, Kogan, Michael and Nathan; Michael (Micky) and Jennifer Brock and their children, Kody and Anna; Manuel and Veronica Landin and their children, Blaze, Manny, Angel, Kailee, Jose and Olivia; James and Stephanie Brock and their children, Megan and Trace; and son, Robert Brock, her caregiver for many years; her very special niece, Christine and Shane Higgins and their children, Kacie, Jamie and Brady; sisters, Dixie and Delbert Pearson, Jeannie Ecklund, and Edie and Keith Ogborn; and many nieces and nephews. She also fostered a number of boys. She was employed by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools for 18 years as a teacher's aide for multi-handicapped children. She had a gift for working with special needs children and loved them very much. Linda loved to draw and won several ribbons at the County Fair for many years. She was very involved with her Corgis. She and her son, Robert, had a blog called County Corgis. She loved her dogs and trained them to do all kinds of tricks. They will miss her. She was a longtime member of Community Christian Fellowship and was a dedicated librarian there. There will be no viewing or visitation. A Celebration of Life service was held at Community Christian Fellowship, 631 North Street on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
