Bryan Oliver was ordered to stand trial on all five counts stemming from the shooting of a classmate at Taft Union High School in January.

Oliver, who was just 16 when he was arrested and charged with the shooting of Bowe Cleveland, also 16, in a second floor classroom in the TUHS science building on Jan. 10, has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Cleveland suffered shotgun pellet wounds to his chest and abdomen in the shooting and was critically injured.

Oliver appeared in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and a Kern County Superior Court judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to order Oliver to be tried on two counts of attempted murder and three counts of assault with a firearm on a person.

He is scheduled to be back in court on July 3.
