Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York is playing its "trump card" and beginning a "spruce up" project to the tune of $26 million.

The Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel is a popular destination for those that like a deluxe hotel with casino action. However, the AAA four diamond hotel has one of the world's natural wonders in its front yard, Niagara Falls.

The falls is just a short walk from the hotel.

The project begins on the 88,000 square foot gaming floor. The renovation will include a large transformation with new sights, sounds and an air quality upgrade.

The main casino floor is about the size of two acres or two football fields. There will be a new look and layout. The Seneca Gaming corporation will be putting $6 million into a new heating, venting and air conditioning system to improve the air quality throughout the casino.

The casino first opened in 2002. The Seneca Nation transformed the former Niagara Falls Convention center into the casino in 100 days. Eventually, the 26 story hotel was added, as well as more gaming space, 10 restaurants and additional amenities.

The resort offers visitors a relaxing, fun environment everyday of the year with live entertainment, fine dinning and a spa.

Hotel rooms were renovated with features of pillow top beds, over sized showers, flat screen TV, Internet access and much more.

Also included in the project is a landscape upgrade. It is a $2.9 million makeover to provide a garden makeover to Seneca Square.

Throughout the renovation the company will be keeping visitors comfortable. Watch for "things to do" in the area of the resort. Enjoy a relaxing time at the Seneca Casino and Hotel and look forward for new things to come.
