The warrant suspect who was charged with drug trafficking after Kern County Sheriff's deputies found a significant amount of methamphetamine when they arrested him was sentenced to 4 years in jail.
Brandon Kevinwill Turner pleaded no contest to one count of transportation of a controlled substance Thursday in Taft branch of Kern County Superior Court.
In addition to the jail term, he was fined $350.
Brandon's anticipated release date is July 20, 2015, according to the Kern County Sheriff's website
A charge of possession of a controlled substance for sale was dismissed in the plea agreement.
Turner, 29, who had been featured in Taft's Most Wanted, was arrested in Dustin Acres by deputies on July 22 on warrants for possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear on a felony charge and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
While being searched deputies found 50 grams of methamphetamine – about two ounces – according to a KCSO news release.
