In just a few days, the Taft football teams will kick off their season. The three teams got a tuneup Thursday when they took part in a scrimmage at Granite Hills High School in Porterville.
The freshmen started the scrimmage by taking on Porterville High School for about an hour. The junior varsity team had their turn next by starting off against Porterville. Following that matchup, Taft squared off against Granite Hills before wrapping up their scrimmage against Washington Union.
After the junior varsity team was done, it was the varsity's turn. The scrimmage started off full field with referees and kick offs with Porterville going up against Washington Union before Taft and Porterville took their turns.
Once the kickoff portion of the scrimmage was done the four teams split the field with Taft going up against Porterville while Granite Hills went up against Washington Union. Taft would take on Granite Hills and then Washington Union.
