When something special in sports happens on consecutive occasions, it is like being hit by lightning twice or winning a large lottery prize. The Taft girls golf team had that type of week when they finished with a round of 251 in a non-league and a league match on back-to-back days.
Taft got their first round of 251 Wednesday afternoon with in the first South Sequoia League match at Riverlakes Golf Course. The result was good enough for second place while Bakersfield Christian finished with a round of 241.
Individually, Raegan Sorensen had the lowest round of the day for the Lady Wildcats with a 49.
A day later, Taft shot a 251 in a match against Bakersfield High School and South High at Buena Vista Golf Course.
Like the previous day, Sorensen shot the lowest round for Taft with a 46 while Josey Burke shot a 48.
