Robert Earl “Bob” Mansell, 56, formerly of Santa Maria and currently of Taft, died Monday, September 2, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident which left his son, Nick in critical condition. Born November 30, 1956 in Chula Vista, CA, he was the son of the late Virginia and Earl Mansell. He was the loving husband of Denise Mansell, his wife of 22 years.

When his father retired the business was closed and Bob continued to work as a mechanic for several companies in the Santa Maria and Bakersfield areas.
Bob would do anything for not only his friends and family but especially for his children and grandchildren. The family has been told many times that Nick is alive due to the fact his father did everything he could to protect Nick in this horrific crash. He love Bar-B-Qing, fishing and auto racing.
He was a devoted and caring father to his three children; daughter, Shanell Mansell Raymond (Robert) of Santa Maria; daughter, Angie Gloeckner of San Luis Obispo and son, Nickolas Earl Mansell of Taft and a loving grandfather to Jasmine and Julian.
