  • Triple homicide suspect spotted locally

  • SISKIYOU COUNTY – The Shingletown, Calif. man who has been at large since May – when authorities believe he murdered his wife and two daughters – has recently been spotted in Siskiyou County, said sheriff’s office spokesperson Allison Giannini. 
     
    Shane Franklin Miller, 45, is being sought by U.S. Marshals for the alleged fatal shooting of his wife, Sandy, 34; and daughters, Shelby, 8, and Shasta, 5.  
    According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Miller is white with blue eyes and has blond or strawberry blond hair, 5-foot-11-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has a scar on his right hand and on his right leg.
    Examiner.com reported that Miller is believed to have killed his family  in Shingletown before fleeing in his pickup truck. The guns used in the murders have not been recovered. He grew up in Humboldt County, where authorities have long believed he is hiding.
    Miller should be considered armed and dangerous, and if he is spotted, one should immediately call 9-1-1 and Deputy U.S. Marshal McMullen at (916) 417-0238 or (916) 930-2030.
