Halloween Sweet Treats and pumpkin decorating will take place over the next two weeks

Halloween is still three weeks away but the West Side Recreation and Park District is getting into the spirit of things with a pair of activities over the next two weeks.

The first will take place next Wednesday with Halloween Sweet Treats in the Community Center Room at the Rec.
Kids will get the opportunity to make caramel apples and jumbo cookies.

The activity is open to kids between the kindergarten and eighth grades. The activity will go from 3-4:15 and costs $3 per person.
One week later the WSRPD will hold a pumpkin decorating workshop at the Fort.

Kids can come down to the Fort’s pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin. They then can decorate the pumpkin with craft supplies.
The event will take place from 3-4 p.m. The event is open to kids four and up and the cost is $5 ( including pumpkin.)

For more information about either activity, contact the Rec at 763-4246.
