February 11, 1977 - October 3, 2013
Brian entered this world on February 11, 1977 in Bakersfield, CA and took his first walk in heaven with Jesus on October 3, 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. Brian became a Taftian at age 2 1/2. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish receiving the sacraments of Penance and First Holy Communion there and serving Mass as an altar boy for many years. Brian attended local schools, graduating from Taft High School. With school behind him, he raced off to Malibu, CA to begin a new chapter in his life with many exciting new adventures to experience and meeting lots of new, interesting and some quite famous people. He had a host of different jobs but web design was his passion. He loved playing his guitar and taking videos of his son rocking out to his music. He now joins his father, Larry Kirsch, second father, Richard Knowles, Nana and Papa Walker, Grandpa and Grandma Kirsch, Grandpa and Grandma Knowles, Uncle Bob Brown, Aunt Linda Kirsch "Armstrong," Uncle Ed Armstrong and special cousins, Jeff Perry and Shawn Gravely and Uncle Eddie Kirsch in Heaven. Loved ones left to celebrate his life are his son, Magnus Cannon Walker of North Carolina; his mother, JoEllen Knowles; sister, Susan Scott, brother, John Knowles; aunt, Louise Brown; uncle, Dewy and Sherrie Walker all of Taft, Chuck and Leslie Rhoades of Bakersfield, uncle, Jimmy Kirsch; and all of the Kirschs from Los Angeles; nieces Jessica Scott, Olivia Sandoval; nephews, Bradley and Jamie Scott all of Taft and nephew, Kaydin Rutherford of Oregon; also his girlfriend, Sheila of Topanga, CA. We will miss your laughter and wonderful smile and beautiful blue eyes and all that made you, Brian. A very special Thank You to Aunt Louise, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Leslie, Uncle Jimmy and Susan for their loving dedication, comfort and blessings during this sad time. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taft, on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A potluck wake will follow at Franklin Field Park Pavilion 3. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. To express online condolences please visit www.EricksonAndBrown.com.
