Officers were checking out trespassing report when suspect fled on foot

Taft Police went to investigate a report of trespassing Friday afternoon and ended up arresting a parolee with a lengthy criminal record after a foot chase.

Officers went to 405 Woodrow to check a report of people seen entering a vacant house,
As they arrived, at least one suspect fled out the rear and towards the alley.

Officers gave chase and caught the man about a half-block away in the 400 block of San Emidio.

He was identified as Nathaniel Dover Jameson, 25.,

He was arrested on a no-bail parole hold and for resisting or obstructing officers.

Kern County Superior Court records show Jameson has a lengthy criminal record, including a 2011 conviction for felony assault on a Kern County Sheriff's deputy and a 2008 conviction for burglary.
