Bakersfield Christian comes back to win by 12

The return home for the Taft junior varsity football team turned out to be a sour one after Bakersfield Christian came back to defeat the Wildcats 40-28.

Scoring was quiet at the end of the first quarter with the Eagles holding a 6-0 advantage.

However, the second quarter was a different story with Bakersfield Christian striking first to extend their lead to 13-0. In a span of a little over two minutes, Bakersfield Christian and Taft had combined for 21 points. When the dust had settled, the Wildcats trailed 20-14.

Taft continued the momentum in the third quarter when they scored less than three minutes in. Taft followed up with another score just under the halfway mark of the quarter to lead 28-20.

Bakersfield Christian made their comeback in the fourth quarter by scoring all 20 of the points to win the game.
