Community Theatre's production runs for four performances starting on Nov. 14
The West Side Recreation and Park District's Community Theater will bring the classic Broadway musical Guys and Dolls to the stage in Taft in just starting Nov. 14.
Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Time Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiance, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game. Guys and Dolls will run from Thursday, Nov.14 through Sunday, Nov.17 in the taft Union High School auditorium.
The Thursday through Saturday performances will start at 7 p.m., while the Sunday show will get underway at 3 p.m.
Tickets for children between the ages of 3-12 and seniors 60 and older are $5. Tickets for adults are $7. Tickets may be purchased at the door before each performance.
