Kenneth was born on October 21, 1926 in Wheatland, Wyoming and passed away in Bakersfield, California on November 11, 2013. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, him mother Georgia and his father Dale. Kenneth is survived by his three sons and their wives, Flint and Belinda, Bruce and Randy and Kevin and Angela. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a sister Maxine Gardner, numerous other family members and many friends. Kenneth served in the United States Navy from September 26, 1944 to June 13, 1946 at which time he was honorably discharged in Shoemaker, California. During his active duty he served as a motor machinist’s mate, 3rd class. Kenneth was employed for 38 and ½ years at Chevron Oil Company. Kenneth enjoyed spending time gaming at Tachi Palace in Lemoore, California during his retirement. Kenneth enjoyed his morning breakfast of steak and eggs over easy and his evening meal of prime rib and baked potatoes at Tachi while gaming until 2 or 3 A.M. Dad was a wonderful person and enjoyed his family and friends whole heartedly and will be greatly missed by all of us. We will always keep him in our hearts and remember the good times we had and the way his face would light up when things were going well. The family would like to extend a special “Thank-you” to the staff at Emeritus and the staff at Optimal Hospice for answering all of our calls and for providing such wonderful care for Dad during such a difficult time. Graveside services will be held at the West Side District Cemetery in Taft, California on November 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M.
