The cold weather is going to continue and there's going to be some precipitation to go with it.
There could even be snow in Taft overnight Friday into Saturday morning.
The daytime high in Taft never got out of the 40s, and its going to be cold overnight with a hard freeze warning and an overnight low Friday of 29 degrees.
After a high of 51 on Friday afternoon, the weather gets interesting and maybe even hazardous.
Starting about 10 p.m. there is a chance of rain and snow even down in Taft with an overnight low in the mid to low 30s
The precipitation chances continue into Saturday morning and there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation, mainly before 10 a.m.
Snow levels are expected to be around 1500 feet or even lower, making travel hazardous, especially in the higher elevations.
The snow is expected to impact travel in the mountains at the south end of the Valley, including the major routes, I-5 and Highway 58.
