January 24, 1949 - December 31, 2013
Carolyn Sue Romagno passed into the arms of our Lord on December 31, 2013. She came onto this earth on January 24, 1949 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. The second oldest of 4 children born to Arthur Joseph and Helen Olivebelle Romagno, Carolyn attended grades 1 through 8 at Hamilton Dome, Wyoming. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She then attended Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, Wyoming graduating in 1967. Carolyn then moved to Taft, California to be with her parents and siblings. Her family had moved to Taft in 1966 where her father had been transferred by Empire State Oil Company. She attended Taft College graduating in 1970 with an Associate in Arts degree and completed her education at San Diego State University where she received her teaching credential. Carolynn began her teaching career in Salinas, California eventually moving back to Taft and taught for many years at Maricopa High School before her long battle with Multiple Sclorosis led to her eventual retirement. She was a member of the Taft Presbyterian Church, Kern County Model T Ford Club and a life member of the Model T Ford Club of America. Carolynn was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Joseph, her mother, Helen and her youngest sister, Dixie. She is survived by her father, Arthur of Evergreen Bakersfield and her older brother, Roy, also of Bakersfield.
