Only a 30 percent chance in Taft on Thursday
There's a one-in-three-chance of light ran in Taft Thursday and thursday evening as a high pressure ridge that has dominated weather over California for nearly two months finally gives way to a storm system.
More rain is expected to fall to the north, but taft may get the first measurable reain since early December.
A few light sprinkles fell across the area Sunday afternoon. There's only a 30 percent chance of showers Thursday and Thursday night with a 20 percent chance on Friday.
The storm may not bring much in the way of rain to taft, but it will bring more seasonable weather.
After a very warm winter with highs in the 70s and lows in the mid to upper 40s, overnight lows should fall to around 40 through the weekend with highs in the 50s to low 60s.
