Laser theft also under investigation by RCIU
Tools, oilfield equipment even a laser was stolen in the latest round of thefts on the Westside being investigated by the Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit.
Here's a quick rundown:
•Unknown suspects forced entry into an electrical yard, knocked down three power poles and stole copper wire from the electrical panel boxes and pipes. The yard is located off of Kerto Road on Chevron Property. The copper wire is further described as being 500 gauge, 4 AUT, and approximately 600' long. •Numerous tools and equipment were reported stolen from two shops located in the 27000 block of Highway 33. An employee located the stolen property approximately ¼ of a mile away from the shops in a field.
