KCSO considers him at risk because of medical conditions

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in a search for a man missing from a rural area south of Maricopa since last week.

Billy Lewis, 63, was last seen on February 21, 2014, at about 5 p.m.

Lewis suffers from a variety of medical conditions and needs medication, the KCSO said Monday night.

He is considered to be a critical missing person.

Deputies were called in on Saturday at about 4 p.m. to the area of Elkhorn Grade Road and Golden Cat Road near the large cat littler mine and manufacturing facility in the hills south of Maricopa.

An extensive air and ground search was undertaken but Lewis was not found

Lewis is described as a white male with brown hair, blue eyes, 5’9 tall and 160 pounds.
