  • A graveside funeral service officiated by Pastor Joey Pittman will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the West Side District Cemetery in Taft, CA for James Dennis Robbins, 53.  He was born on May 3, 1960 in Ft. Stockton, Texas and was met at the gates of Heaven to join his Dad on February 18, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his father, Blackie Robbins, grandmother, Maxine Madden and father-in-law, Les Pierce.  James made many memories while growing up in McKittrick, CA with his younger sisters and brother where he made many lifelong friends, met his love, Lisa and raised their two children there.  Through the years James worked in the oilfields for different companies including Lunns Production, General Production as well as for Polie Brogdon and Ken Beard and their families.  James collected arrowheads, loved hunting, fishing, listening to music and most of all spending time with those he loved.  James is survived by his wife, Lisa Robbins; their daughter, Misty Dawn Robbins; their son, Jonathan Wayne “The Duke” Robbins; their grandchildren, Jaycee “Jaypoc” Henderson, Shaydon Robbins, Noah, Aaron and Naveah Dixon; his mother, Carol Robbins; sister, Lavon “Sissy” Robbins and her children, Deedra and Travis; sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Harlie Stephens and their children, Holi and Aaron; brother and sister-in-law, Darrel and Lori Robbins and their children, Kimberly, Joy, Trapper, Dylan and Ashley; his grandfather, Tom Madden; mother-in-law, Carrie Pierce; father-in-law and wife, Don and Martha Robbins; sister-in-law, Connie Williams and her son, Trebor; brother-in-law and wife, Donnie “Doodle” and Trish Robbins and their children, Devin and Dustin; brother-in-law, Billy Robbins; and many, many more family members and tons of amazing friends.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.  To express online condolences please visit www.EricksonAnd Brown.com.
