Cause is still under investigation
Fire caused $50,000 damage to a Ford City home Thursday morning.
The fire was reported at 7:58 a.m. and first arriving firefighters found heavy smoke pouring from the structure at 216 Jefferson Street.
Initial reports indicated someone may have been inside the burning house.
Firefighters got the fire knocked down in about 15 minutes and searched but the building was empty, and all members of the family living in the home were accounted for, firefighters said.
The cause if the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters listed a $25,000 save to the structure.
Four engines and a ladder truck responded to the fire.
An ambulance was also called in to stand by.
