Taft roars past Wasco by 12
Whether it has been the non-league season or the opening games of the league season, the Taft varsity softball team has been consistent when it has come to wins. The Lady Wildcats continued their run in Wasco Friday afternoon with a 14-2 victory over the Lady Tigers.
“The girls came out and played very well,” said Taft coach Russell Emberson. “Our bats showed up today and we hit very well. We ran the bases aggressively and made things happen on the bases.”
With the victory, Taft keeps their perfect run going at 17-0 overall and 3-0 in the South Sequoia League.
Taft burst out of the gates with six runs in the second and third innings.
