Wildcats started their games but couldn't finish them

The Taft baseball and softball teams attempted to get their games in against Robert F. Kennedy Friday afternoon but in the end Mother Nature won out with the games being called early.

In the case of the varsity baseball team, both sides tried to get the field in order before the game got underway. It was Taft's turn to open the floodgates in the top of the first inning by scoring four runs.

After the final out of the top half of the first inning a light sprinkle started to fall but the teams started the bottom half of the first inning. The sprinkle evolved into a steady light rain before a downpour came forcing everyone watching to take cover. After a few minutes it was determined that they could not play anymore and the game was called.
